We went camping for the 4th of July weekend with our friends, the Ransoms and their kiddos, JJ and Jordyn. We went up to Coeur D'Alene and had a great shady campsite that was right off the lake. This was Gabe's first camping trip and we were blown away by how well he did. He played in the dirt all day long with JJ and slept like a champ. He was pretty into eating sticks and rocks and he got to try things he doesn't normally eat, like hot dogs and eggs, yum!

Mike and Josh in the paddle boat, before they decided it was too much work. They traded this in for a canoe after a couple of hours. Melissa and I took Jordyn out in the canoe, but since I'm the primary picture taker in the family, you don't get to see any proof of our canoeing skills. :)
